Hi all, it looks like I hit a real nerve with my options post. But I'm glad I posted it. I find it very interesting to hear all the differing opinions on options. So far, I am hearing overwhelmingly that people feel that it's tough shit for employees that didn't have the company replace their options. I'm on the fence. On the one hand, I hate the dilution that's been occurring to Cisco because that affects my investment. On the other, Cisco needs the best employees in order to stay healthy long term in a high tech industry. So the question really is are options helping keep employees at this juncture or is it fear of not finding a job elsewhere? If it is just fear, then what will happen when the economy comes rebounding back in a year or a few years? Will these employees hop off to the next big thing? Those questions concern me. Thx all for the good dialogue.
