It seems apropos to reference The Street.Com's primer on lock-up expirations. If it looks like they're not gonna make it, and their archives might not survive, we can rehash the concepts here. For now the link:

I'm going to look at our stocks that have seen apparent elephant activity recently, to see if there's correlation to the selling raising the float above the 5 million share threshold mentioned as a rough minimum needed for an institution to take a position. I'll report back.

Edit: Only GNVC shows a threshold problem at the moment. The 144s for the 11th are out, too:

GNVC is clearly going to be over that threshold soon. Note that it's been fairly busy since then, and we don't have those filings yet. Some digging some arithmetic, and some guesswork from recent charts might give clues as to where the float is. My gut say we're clsoe to 5 million right now. 13Fs will be very interesting for this one.
