Once again, you are failing to look at the relativity here. $200 for a 100 MB removable storage device. As a replacement for the 3.5 floppy, the Zip is indeed a technological wonder. If you are comparing it to a Baracuda SCSI Hard Drive, then yes, the Zip is not too great. But considering the market it is targeting, the Zip is nearly perfect. No one should use the Zip as a spare hard drive. If you want a hard drive replacement, buy a Jaz. You won't be dissapointed with the speed.
