Dan, et al,

FWIW, I didn't notice any mention of PMs in Barron's this week. And, this week's edition included the midyear round table. The round table participant's views of where the economy and markets are going were on the negative side of neutral. However, Epstein presented more support for his view that the economy isn't going in recession; though he is not looking for a return to a boom.

The GMI/POG ratio for this week::

On 6/21, the Barron's GMI was 310.91, down from the previous week's value of 339.67. With the POG also up to
273..30 (6/22), the ratio was down to 1.14. The ratio a year previously was 0.92. This year-ago level was close to the all-time low. And, again it is evident that a low ratio doesn't necessarily mean that the POG or PM stocks are going to be booming a year later.

Cheers,
Larry
