Dear Paul:

Yeah, the OEMs who didn't use them will be fired by their boards for gross incompetence. The myth that no one was fired for buying Intel will fall by the wayside like no one was fired for buying IBM (In the former an IT manager was fired for buying Intel based servers when management wanted HP PA-RISC based ones, and the later, another IT manager was fired for buying a 4300 with MVS/OS through the back door (he was forbidden from doing it by the board)). So you can get fired for buying Intel and IBM.

Same thing happened to the laptop buyer who told his manager that an Intel 1 GHz P3 was the fastest he could get. The manager went to Best Buy with his kid and found out otherwise, when comparing a Dell 1G with an HP 1G A4, both on batteries. Imagine how ticked he was to find that his kid knew more than that IT buyer.

Nuff said.

Pete
