FOMC meeting and end of quarter on Friday June 29

Re: FOMC meeting

This was a beautiful trend until finally broken last meeting (small rally heading in, big dump heading out compared to small dump heading in and nice rally coming out last meeting)
It was an amazing ATM machine for me until it finally ended.

I am not sure what to expect, so I will try to cover some shorts and have minimum exposure until after the fact.

I actually believe we see a small dump heading in and a larger one coming out after only a 25 basis cut.
Time will tell.

Re: End of month and quarter

Last day of every quarter is usually a golden opportunity for shorts.
Many stocks experience increased buying the last day of every quarter, particularly last 2 hours of trading.
Many fund managers will add to their positions in order to increase the price and make their results looks much better for the quarter, especially in stocks that are big losers for them.

Shorting these kind of stocks just before the close is like free money.
Any pos stock that goes vertical last 2 hours of trading at quarter end, almost always retraces those gains the next 2 trading sessions regardless of the overall market.

Just food for thought for now, will address this later in the week.

Have a great trading week.
Michail
