Hi Ray, It is nice to see Tom Nolle expose his 'circuits are property - I love RBOCs' dis-position. >>I do tend to agree with Eric Krapf, that the new battlefield for the RBOCs is not with the CLECs but rather with the MSOs. However, in that arena, the cableco equipment vendors aren't producing DOCSIS 1.1 compliant gear, and the whole MSO VoIP effort seems stalled if not stillborn at this time.<< I think DOCSIS 1.1 gear is shipping 3Q01 from some vendors, and the pre 1.1 that is shipping has QOS priority for voice signalling, so VOIP is possible now. petere
