I would say that with AMD's ASPs dropping so fast, and desktop having negative growth, it's desperation time for them, not Intel. That's because they're basically only in desktops, which are suffering. AMD has to get into the notebook and or SMB server market or see their sales plummet. Lower ASPs X fewer units = smaller top line, wouldn't you say? Tualatin helps keeps the big blue thumb on AMD in those other markets. Not pretty for AMD. Intel, in the meanwhile, gets rising ASPs with Tualatin. Check this out: On Pricewatch, a 1 GHz PIII is listed at more than a 1.4GHz Athlon. A 1.7 GHz P4 is almost 2X as much as a 1.4GHz Athlon. This is pretty simple math guys. ragingbull.lycos.com

Allot of FUD and not simple math.
