hi gott

re, "But even with always on cable I doubt very much that spammers know when you open their e-mail.[as long as you don't reply to them]"

are you aware of aol's email system that allows a sender to know if and when another aol member has opened the mail you sent them? that's right. i can check sent mail whenever i wish and if a recipient hasn't opened it, i know. the precise time and date via timestamp is placed on the sent mail in my folder documenting the moment they open it. if it is never opened, that shows too.

so, the technology exists. just like receipts. it is a rather well-documented fact among spam busters that not opening spammer's mail prior to deletion it is a deterent.

:)
