Lactose Intolerance and cereal...

I can't drink milk anymore, either. The self-diagnosis was straight-forward...no milk for a week, then have a cup. If you double over with the pain of the gas cramps in your intestines, then you could be lactose intolerant. Nasty-smelling "digestive indescretions" follow shortly afterwards.

The treatment is simple....eliminate non-predigested milk products. I can eat yogurt and cheese, and to a lesser extent butter and cream, but whole milk is too scary to contemplate.

I do like breakfast cereals, though, so pour juices on them. My current favorite is Dole pineapple/orange/banana mixed 2:1. I like the juice a little thicker than usual so that it sticks to the cereal better.

Which juice I like varies from time to time. Dole's pineapple blends have been near the top of the list for a long time, but that company has disappointed me with their poor responsiveness to customer input. For months I've been writing to them to request that they introduce a Durian-blend to the American market. They keep saying that they "will look into it", and value their customer's input.

Perhaps if all started writing to Dole? Or other juice manufacturers?

P.S. I'll bring an extra thong in case you change your mind.
