3Com Maintains Leadership in U.S. IP PBX Systems Market (BusinessWire, 06/25/2001 10:18)
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 2001--Telephony research firm, InfoTech, Parsippany, N.J., reports that 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq:COMS) once again has secured the leadership position for U.S. IP PBX system shipments during the first quarter calendar year 2001. In addition to ranking No. 1, 3Com gained market share to capture 68% of U.S. IP PBX system shipments in the Telephony-Enabled LAN segment. In its report, "InfoTrack for Enterprise Communications," InfoTech notes that 3Com shipped 1,515 new systems and 32,8000 new lines during Q1 2001.
