I don't mind paying more for two reasons: #1) It's not on nature's expense, and #2) it supports new, cleaner technologies by making them of equal cost. For once, I think sustainable high oil prices is the worst that can happen to the Oil countries. Their GDP will go down the drain since we have new technologies --just now becoming cost competitive. Once these new technologies take hold, the demand for oil will decrease by a few percent/year, imo.
