hi gott these are the two statements of yours that i felt needed clarification.... "I know for a fact that once I see the header it's been downloaded because I can click on the header and the preview opens [when I'm not connected]" and.... "But even with always on cable I doubt very much that spammers know when you open their e-mail.[as long as you don't reply to them]" in the first statement, i wanted to point out that there is indeed a difference between delivered and opened, and that your use of the term 'downloaded' was not adequately describing what is happening with email. would you now agree with this? in your second statement, i wanted to point out that spammers do indeed know when you open their email... at least, to my current knowledge, the 23 million email accounts on aol have that capability. hope i've been more clear with this. :) mark
