- Compaq's corporate customers were asked how they felt about the deal BEFORE it materialized and 95% of them were thrilled about the implications of moving to the industry's de facto standard platform

- Given the economies of scale and synergies resulting from the CPQ / INTC deal (let the system work be done by the system company, and the microprocessor work be done by the silicon company) the customers will be the main beneficiaries
