Amots, Actually you are wrong. I was very aggressively bullish on the way up and diversified on the way down with tech still representing a significant portion of my portfolio...and taking less aggressive positions. Have shorted in the downturn a bit but mostly went from being aggressively long to just long. I don't short too much. I would note that Zeev says he does not short the market. My biggest mistake was to misread the market in February and March THIS YEAR...took positions in tech that were too aggressive. Realized later what was really happening in the market...redemptions out of tech oriented funds. Bears recognizing that there was no reason to cover shorts in a market that was experiencing bad cash inflows...fundamentals deteriorating etc.. Apart from this period, I had a great record for the past several years. This year, I am a bit on the negative side....but the year is not over.<g> I was up 100% last year..and that was not a good year for me. BTW--I don't mean to brag in any way since I am humbled by my experiences of late last year and early this year. I have learned a lot of things during the decline....actually starting to respect TA a little more in periods away from quarter ends. I just had to point it out my track record, based upon what you wrote. I won't mention it again. Of course we shall see if I am right about a rally into July. I realize that I can be wrong.<g> I have taken up aggressive tech long positions again.
