JC and thread, This CPQ/Intel news is terrible news IMHO. CPQ is No 1 server guy - they are now solidly Intel-64. HP is Itanium developer and so solidly with Intel -64. Dell is fastest growing server guy - and solidly Intel -64. Sun ain't gonna be using hammer's soon if ever. IBM is pushing power PC in servers. This leaves tier II/Tier III guys for Hammer. Truly a terrible day for AMD longs. And with Palomino not scaling well, coupled with muddled execution all around from AMD - I fail to see how AMD is positioned in anything except a very poor light. Time to buy Intel methinks. Kash
