Generally speaking, SGI buyers and owners can call SGI 24/7 for an on-site visit by an SGI maintenance person, who will install a new part, or software.

For example, a place I worked once had a Onyx that had a bad CPU board. This was causing some problems with one of our FDDI rings. A call to Salt Lake City (85+ miles away), got a new CPU and a SGI tech guy in his car and driving up to install it within ~20 minutes. ~2 hours later, the new CPU was installed, and we were on our way. The way I look @ it, if you're going to be running a server, you need this kind of support and reliability.
