Perhaps but those institutions that must purchase from the Russell can not do so until those companies are officially added. That has not occured yet. Usually the little guy accumulates in anticipation thereof but the size of some of these blocks seems to suggest the big boys may see the potential. This sector should be strong from here on out as more and more baby boomers make their presence known. However I do agree that some of the effect is due to to the potential addition to the Russell. Some may be buying not to dump as the institutionals are forced to buy but because Russell has found DRMD sound enough to be added.
