This is an encouraging new application for SDMC or CF cards, made possible by storage capacity large enough to accommodate Linux/Java. However, my understanding of the problems related to viewing web pages on a small screen typical of most PDA's, is that the use of Java may result in a very slow, cumbersome operation, and not as efficient as the "BREW" technology developed by QUALCOMM for displaying web information on wireless phones and PDA's. In any case, the advantages of a removable flash card should be obvious: The program and related files don't have to be booted every time the device is turned on. And the programs/files can be modified at will.
