MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 1997--Newriders Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NWRD) has opened a 10,000 square-foot Easyriders Cafe theme restaurant in this major tourist community. The cafe is located at Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach, adjacent to the landmark Hard Rock Cafe pyramid. Broadway at the Beach, a $1 billion dining, entertainment and shopping complex, is also home to Planet Hollywood, NASCAR Cafe, Landrey's Tony Roma's Gilley's and others. Newriders expects its new cafe to generate revenues of $6 million to $8 million in its first year of operation. Michael Purcell, president, said: "In our first four days of operation, we exceeded our expectations by over 200 percent in apparel and beverage sales. In addition, we took orders for 20 custom motorcycles and our bike shop won't even be open until mid-June." The Myrtle Beach unit is the second in what the company expects to become an international chain of theme restaurants based on the American Made motorcycle and the Easyriders lifestyle. Each Easyriders Cafe unit contains a bar and restaurant, a retail apparel store and a motorcycle and accessories shop.
