Jimmy, I'm certain that you'd agree with me that Syquest is on the verge of collapsing. I no longer view them as any kind of threat to Iomega. This is one of the reasons I turned bullish on Iomega. There seems to still be quite a bit of focus on Syquest here on this thread. I am more concerned about the LS120. Like you say, the mass markets do not always choose the "best" product (at least in our minds). Because the LS120 is floppy compatible, it could have significant mass market appeal. What seems strange to me is the lack of news about this product. I worry that with all the resources that Compaq, 3m, etc. have, they will come out with a flurry of announcements and a marketing campaign that will capture the attention of both the press and the consumer. Or, are they silently letting the product fade away to avoid embarassment? I'd surely like to know, one way or another.
