Well, the warrants do carry some premium (about 1 1/2) but where else can you buy a 3 year LEAP on LGND, which will never expire as worthless for 1 1/2? Plus you get the warrants for 58% of the stock price. This enables one to leverage one's money so that the same amount of cash will enable you to control 166% of the shares you could normally control at the current stock price. Once the warrants are marginable, that is.
