Sorry, Craig, but all you have spouted is Apple's pathetic attempt at PR.

>>1) Macs are still easier to use than PCs. Studies continue to show this.

Macs are *possibly* easier to LEARN to use. As far as use after the initial learning phase, frankly the reverse is true. Consider also the effect of all of the experts out there: 10 Windows users for every Mac user. This mantra MAY have been true about 5 years ago but sadly is no longer even close. Please try and adjust your "truths" as the world changes!

>> 2) There's amble software available for Macs. It's a fallacy to think otherwise. The main software developers (Adobe, Claris, Corel, Intuit, Macromedia, Microsoft, Netscape, Symantec, etc.) are still writing great programs for Macs. I mean, how many applications do you need on your computer, 10,000?
>>
Yes, we need as many apps as possible and again fewer and fewer developers are even bothering to create Mac versions. The more apps available the more general purpose the computer and OS. Macs are still #1 in Publishing and little else.

>> 3) Overall, Apple makes high quality, reliable products that most customers are satisfied with. Apple is always at the top of the list for customer satisfaction.
>>

Gag, the PowerBook 5300, the AppleVision 1710 are examples of exactly how unreliable Apple's recent offerings can be. These are probably two of the WORST pieces of technology foisted on the world in a long time. The other products that Apple makes are still largely unavailable. That's the real problem at Apple: tons of unsalable stuff and no stock of the stuff that they could sell. No wonder the stock is battered! I still think $4 is a fair price and don't spout book-value. Consider the negative "goodwill."

>>4) PowerMacs are now out-performing the latest Pentiums, and will continue to do so. We're going to see a 1,000 gigahertz PPCs within three years. Also, Apple's price-performance has started to match PCs.
>>

In raw performance tests when compared mHz to mHz, which is frankly meaningless. The Mac OS is still emulated in part and crawls even on fast hardware. Also the real comparison should be speed per $. Intel has just slashed their CPU prices by up to 50%. Look at a typical Dell Computer configuration and find the same price point in the Mac line and you will be amazed. Don't give me the crap about built in SCSI,sound and Ethernet. A typical SCSI PCI card is $99, the SoundBlaster is $49 and Ethernet is $19. Wake up!

>> 5) If Apple's 3-year turnaround plan succeeds, then the $15-17 price range it's at now is a bargain. So, yes it's a risky investment, but the rewards could be substantial...
>>

I counted the configurations that Apple Developers would have to worry about, if they adopt Rhapsody and came to 14 separate code streams that would need testing and supporting via 800 numbers. The truth is that nobody can guarantee that Rhapsody even matters.

Wake up, people. Your investment $$$ are better placed elsewhere!

(Again, I have no AAPL related investments long or short.)
