do they have special intro training in arrogance when you sign on at Intel? most probably yes (if the orientation is anything like microsoft's) but it is more subtle. when a company is as big as intel/microsoft and as successful in the market place, you can't avoid the arrogance. i think the idea is that overconfident, arrogant employees are harder working people. it is like joining a cult. get them when they are young and infuse the ideology into them. they will sleep in their sleeping bags in their offices (at least there are offices in building 17, do intel employees get offices?) and work like crazy.
