hey Folks,

Its news like these which are going to get this stock to 25+ soon. Speculators in this thread may or may not help but big names like Wal-Mart upgrading to newer systems will increase revenues and profits to draw investors attention. If you noticed recent trading patterns, someone out there steps in every time it tries to drift low. Now we need them to step in on its way up to 25+.

Regards,

JK (Long on TLXN to 25+)

Company Press Release

Speech recognition system cuts cost, adds accuracy to Wal-Mart distribution
centers

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 1997--A new voice-based order filling system has virtually eliminated both miss-picks
and product labeling costs at Wal-Mart grocery distribution centers.

The new system, now in use at two facilities, is scheduled for operation in all grocery distribution centers by the end of September.

The older system being replaced involves warehouse order-selector personnel picking up paper lists of items ordered by retail stores,
finding the locations of the items, and sticking labels on the items to be picked. They then put the items on pallets, and move them to the
loading dock.

With the new system, there are no paper lists to pick up and no labels to stick on the items. Instead, each order selector puts on a
microphone/speaker headset connected to a portable unit worn on a waist belt. Total weight is less than two pounds.

The order selectors are guided by voice to the locations in the warehouse of the items ordered. The system also verifies quantities picked,
and can respond to a variety of requests from the order selector, such as describing the product, giving its universal product code
(UPC), or repeating the previous pick.

The new system combines portable, speech-recognition Talkman terminals from Vocollect Inc. of Pittsburgh with a wireless local area
network (LAN) from Telxon Corp, of Akron. The Talkman includes a built-in spread-spectrum radio module from Telxon.

Wal-Mart operates more that 3,000 stores domestically and internationally, and had sales of $104.9 billion in the fiscal year ending Jan.
31, 1997. Wal-Mart's worldwide web site address is wal-mart.com .

Vocollect is a privately held company based in Pittsburgh. The company designs, develops and markets voice transaction terminals for
the warehouse and industrial inspection markets. Vocollect's worldwide web site address is vocollect.com .

Telxon, based in Akron, Ohio, is a leading global designer and manufacturer of wireless and mobile transaction solution systems for
vertical markets. Telxon's worldwide web site address is telxon.com .
