Uh huh. So all the Intel "we will bury you crowd" showing up here today has nothing to do with arrogance, and it's hypocritical to even suggest it. Whatever. It's too bad about Alpha, it was a good piece of work. It's especially bad that it was killing by marketing muscle instead of superior technology, but that's life. I'm sure Intel will make many fine new friends among the Compaq software people as they struggle along with Intel compilers that can't even get SPEC code to run reliably.
