Sorry, but I disagree. That is like saying we are all doomed to lives of failure. . . never to learn anything from our mistakes.

we get too optimistic at the top and we get too pessimistic at the bottom. Nothing is going to change that.

Again, I disagree. This thread is full of contrarians. . .many of which sold techs on alerts posted here in March/April 2000, when the market was in full bloom. . . in other words, we SOLD the top. . . .there have been many swings where we have bought bottoms and sold off tops. And many of us are still awaiting a retest of the April 4 low before jumping back in for the long-term. . . . again buying the bottom.

information is not the same as wisdom

Rather. . . .Wisdom abounds, as information disseminates.
We learn from our mistakes. We profit from what we learn. Nothing has changed around here. Where have you been?
