Thanks, Dipy. I do agree with you that the "natural tendency" is to allow ourselves to make stupid mistakes. And yes, the aggregate tends to do the wrong thing when left alone. But we are working toward keeping investors from being left alone. . . and hoping to make a difference.

I guess my optimism comes from my efforts to build a better sort of community. . .which focuses on awareness, teaching and making great trades. . . as opposed to becoming lovers of a particular stock or getting suckered by bozos coming online promising instant riches. And if I thought for a second that what I was doing would not yield the result I seek, then I would lose the incentive to make things happen. So I stay optimistic. And I really do believe that as a whole, investors are improving.
