I don't quite understand this productivity issue on a very microscopic level (as it applies to me). Ten years ago I still worked for someone and had a small staff of 5. Now, these many years hence, I find myself self-employed and able to do as much work myself (of equal or higher calibre), as my staff and I could together in those days, what with improved database technology, 4GL, etc. etc. I don't necessarily see 6 times the the opportunity around me, so I sometimes wonder what productivity has made of my onetime staff. I know my former employer is no more. Well back to vacation packing. I trust you all will suspend the collapse until my return in a few weeks so that I too may profit from the mother of all buying opportunities ? regards Kastel PS: I really wish SI had a Canuck spell checker. I waste more time...... EDIT: Maybe I'm too simple :o) Much else to read in the link but gotta go.
