Cool post, I've sat by and watched orders filled that are much lower and some much higher than mine, and once the order is complete, it is obvious the analyst were trying to take it high, and left the few low bids to snatch up the higher bids taking a loss, but knowing if the small player were to play, he would have to go with the flow...in this case up to pay for the "cheap ones" they had picked up on the way up, in order to fill a large order.

I have have seen lower bids than mine snatched up, leaving mine sitting there completely ignored, only to close the day canceled....

It seems it could be done electronically with no middle man needed, and it would be much fairer filling of orders.
