Over the winter, back in about Feb. We had asparagus for breakfast. I remember the frig was full, and I didn't want to pitch the remaining asparagus, so I stuck the bowl(foolishly with some water still in it) out in the garage with a plate covering the top.

After about a week of not eating it, I decided it was too old and was going to take it to the compost. But it was too cold or there was too much snow for me to head that way, so I inadvertently stuck it on a shelf that later got closed up by an old 12" monitor, and some boxes of stuff heading to the dump come spring.

So the source was that bowl of asparagus. But it does get worse. Much worse. Seems a mouse, female mouse none the less, found her way into the bowl trapping herself inside as the plate fell back on top. She died in there, and it looks like she was expecting. It even gets worse than that as something happened when she expired, and the rest of the story is just too gross to continue telling. I suppose you can use your imagination.
