Dipy, You qualified your post with "most individual investors" . Unfortunately you appear to have been beat up because readers of your post chose to take it personally. Without a doubt, the respondees to your post are not "most individual investors" but rather experienced, saavy upper end of the bell curve investors. In context, I agree with your post 100%. Many, many, lukers of this thread recognized themselves in your observation and I'm sure it gave them reason to reflect on their own investing conduct.
