NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2001-- Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) announced today that Spec Ops Ranger Elite, the sequel to the very successful Spec Ops Stealth Patrol game, has taken the number one slot for the PlayStation® Game Console according to NPD TRST for the week ending June 16, 2001.

Take-Two also had 5 titles in the top ten and 7 in the top 16 for the same time period as well as capturing approximately 11% unit market share in the PlayStation® category.

Among the best-selling titles were Spec Ops Ranger Elite, Spec Ops Stealth Patrol, Ford Racing, Grand Theft Auto 2, Darkstone, Action Bass and Kiss Pinball.
