Poet, the Brock stories are an interesting if depressing coda to the impeachment wars. Brock's problems with his former patrons on the righteous right started when he came out, supposedly in response to Frank Rich "outing" him by calling him a misogynist. A gay right wing hatchetman wasn't as valuable to the well paying propaganda mills of the right. So, he's been thrashing around lately.

My ever watchful SI guardians on the righteous right know that Thomas is a pet peeve of mine. He obviously lied under oath, with extensive coaching from W's father's handlers. Certainly about his views (or alleged lack of knowledge) on Roe v. Wade, and most probably on Anita Hill too. But, he's got a lifetime appointment, and will be giving Scalia an ultra reliable second vote as long as they both serve.
