H60, I don't have time today to look up the XP issues. But if NTOP's protocol is not used and they are just another commodity wholesaler, then all their built up customer base is at risk! This seems to be the case from the releases I've seen. If a new MSFT protocol is adopted, most cable box providors will probably adopt it too. Then NTOP loses that market because there is no critical mass of Linksys boxes out there to stop it.
When AOL fended off MSFT's entry into the ISP world, it was because AOL was able to differentiate themselves with content, mail address and physical locations. What does NTOP offer?

So now we have the mythical ADIR switch to 'look forward' too which is proprietary. But many other companies have VOIP technology. If ADIR does not clearly outperfom them, that becomes of questionable value too.

So VOIP will be the future.
