that list of progressive and rational programs (you forgot social security) seems civilized and beneficial to all. and don't forget the damn republicans opposed every one of them. _________________ 1. progressive income taxes 2. antitrust laws 3. capital gains taxes 4. price supports for agricultural products, to help farmers 5. the SEC, and regulation of the securities industry in general 6. clean food laws 7. workplace safety laws, OSHA 8. estate taxes 9. minimum wage 10. prohibition of child labor 11. government funding for health care for elders, disabled, and the poor It took me about 90 seconds to come up with those; I'm sure there are hundreds more.
