Cheney "has declined to identify the people who met privately with his energy task force, raising tensions with Congressional investigators who have repeatedly requested the information. Without reading the full article, I'll take a stab in the dark that Cheney's defense on the matter has something to do with the issue of privacy. Protect the identity of those who influence/make government policy is a privacy issue. Privacy is so very important to conservatives. Much like not complying with Federal law to release Reagan's papers..privacy [cough ... cough] jttmab
