Group 3G will launch GPRS end 2001 11:08 Wednesday June 27, 2001, AFX

Sonera and Telefonica's Group 3G is to start offering GSM and GPRS services in Germany
from the end of 2001 or the start of 2002, Group 3G chairman Ernst Folgmann said in an
interview with Germany's Teleboerse. He mentioned also that this only would be possible if
handset suppliers would come up with the promised high number of GPRS-enabled phones.

(rn - ....or the middle of 2002 or the end of 2002. I can hardly wait to hear their 3G plans - from
the 3G group)
