i have bought a lot of the 12% of 2009. They are now trading flat for pennies. If you get the 12% of $1000 and the $1000 on maturity, you make a fortune if you buy the bonds for $30-$100. if there is complete default, if you get a dividend of 20% within three years, you do very well. certainly, it is way better than paying 18 cents for the stock.
