Phil, to answer your question a receiver would take over and liquidate the assets. Assets are usually sold for pennies on the dollar. Hence the saying “call in the receivers”. Its actually a great way to do business for the buyer. IF you get to know some of the receivers you can call regularly to get updates on whats being sold. I dont think PFG is in receivership. You can also buy customer lists etc. Regards
