I read an article about a 10 year old or so autistic child that floated off in a river in the Everglades during a picnic. The National Guard was called out and after 4 days they figured he was either snake bit, drowned or eaten by a 'gator. On the 5th day he was found, still in the water, and other than sunburn and some 'skeeter bites he was as healthy and happy as he could be. He never realized the danger.
