Nokia Watch ----

NOK promised volume shipments (millions) of GPRS handsets by Q3... beginning June...tens of millions by Q4... beginning September... for the holiday season...

As of today, they're 26 days late and counting.....

----------

"..Nokia (NOK) 22.10 -1.49: Hearing that a major brokerage firm commented on NOK this afternoon, stating that the company is not even displaying its new GPRS handsets and will not deliver its first units in Q3 as a result; firm reportedly sees this as a negative for NOK and the industry as some operators might delay GPRS launches to wait for NOK phones."

briefing.com - June 14

----------

"..Question - When will EDGE terminals be delivered?

Answer - This is unaswerable, but given that GSM-1900 operators are not expecting volume delivery of
GPRS-only handsets until mid 2002
, 2003 would seem the earliest, unless there are earlier and broader
expressions of commitment (from outside the USA)."
