I don't know. I think it would have been wrong, but that has nothing to do with morality. It's just my opinion. Unlike some others, I have no need or desire to believe that my opinion reflects some abstract "right".

Perfect governance is impossible. Functional governance is not. We know that we will never adher perfectly to our own codes. That's no reason not to try.
