I see no catalyst in the next few month for the stock market. The talking heads have the general investor sold on interest rate cuts from Greenspan as a cure all. When we had the bull market the Fed was RAISING rates and the market still was on a bull run. This year Fed lowers rates and we are still in a bear market. It's about earnings pure and simple and the Talking heads should be ashamed of themselves for leading investors on the FED dance and letting the Institutions sell their holdings to less knowledgeable investor.
