Nice day today methinks. Just wondering what it will take for the many traders here to build a long term portfolio? The bearishness over the past couple weeks here was so thick with predictions of black Monday's and distributions that I wondered if there was any bull left.

Zeev, you seem to be able to turn on a dime which is most excellent...but all these gloomy thoughts are probably very difficult to shake for others. I remember Lucretius when he turned bearish. Classic case of someone who can never snap back and realize markets do go up. He missed 1999 and looks to be missing this great investment opportunity as well.

I think it important to examine our past actions and wonder if they made sense. Larry, you had a sell when we dropped below 2078. Well, we really didn't go much lower. From my understanding, you went to cash then. Are you thinking when you redeploy that you'll be better off than if you had just held?

I'm not advocating the LTB&H thing because we all know no strategy works all the time, but what I'm trying to figure out is whether all this thrashing around trading is worth the time. Most of the predictions made here have been really off base the past few weeks.

I just figured the values presented over the past few weeks were good enough for me and I built my portfolio accordingly. Still have about 25% cash for special situations, but otherwise I've got what I want.

Good luck to all.
