Hey Gus, it's no news here that everybody has been munching away at Sun's lunch in storage while Sun has been fooling with their cutlery. Brocade made some good headway into the Solaris market via Sun's Professional Services connecting Sun servers with EMC arrays. Now Sun may want a bigger slice of the margin with more favorable OEM pricing versus the usual reseller's skim. However, I doubt the terms will approach the favorability of the QLGC (nee ANCR) warrants. But Brocade may be surprised at how close Sun may want to get to that pricing. I have worked with ZOOX FCIP via Xiotech and Winstar on remote storage/disaster recovery. Their technology works fine and the Xiotech software is nifty. The only question in my mind is the long term financial viability of ZOOX. WRT to their 2Gig Slingshot and GA, there are some production quality issues that need to be ironed out before we'll begin to see it in the market. VIXL is supposed to have GA of their 2Gig lineup June 28. Haven't seen any announcement yet. Douglas
