general confusion being made between healthcare and health insurance

The government is already struggling to regulate insurance and the entire healthcare industry

I don't think you get it. The health care industry contributes to the confusion about what is a "right" because they have done a good job of transferring risk to the government and off of themselves. Do you know it is virtually impossible to get individual coverage if you have any kind of history at all? And are you happy about sharing the cost of treating the fully-employed uninsured when they show up at emergency rooms with infections or chest pain or diabetic complications that could have been treated at less cost if they had insurance and had seen a doctor earlier?

If the govt is doing anything to "regulate" health care it is because, as has been the case in so many other industries, they are acting irresponsibly to the detriment of the general population.

healthcare business leaders will be proscribed from seeking even the most valid efficiencies.

In case you haven't noticed, healthcare "business leaders" have been implementing "efficiencies" for the past ten years. How many emergency rooms does your town/city have? How far is the nearest hospital? Do you have any idea how many hospitals have closed all over the country?

What would be your idea of a "valid" efficiency that has yet to be implemented?

That will complete the American government's near total command of its citizens without our even knowing it.

That is one of the more paranoid statements I've seen on this thread. Do you realize your insurance company and your bank know far more about you than the government? If information is power, and if power can be misused to control, then it is they you should be concerned about.
