rudedog, re: I bought a 1GHz Presario with 80MB hard drive, monitor and TV out for $999... add in $99 for TV in and I have the ability to not only save TV a la TIVO, but I can also edit the TV, burn it on CDs, ship it around my network, and, as Paul says, I also have a high performance PC to use for whatever I want. And no subscription fees or other nonsense. Can the average consumer set up a similar system? It seems obvious to me that it's a consumer need looking for a clever (and more important easy) solution. John
