How to read the Futures (and the Bonds) like a roadmap to enhance your stock trading results!

Skill in reading the futures markets can contribute substantially to your success as a stock trader. In our July 31 mini-seminar, Steve Bell will present some pragmatic methods for quickly reading the Futures and the Bonds in a way that will serve to improve your stock trading.

Steve traded the S&P Futures and the Bond Futures full-time exclusively for 15 months in 1994-95, and has attended weekend seminars by many top traders including Walter Bressert, Linda Raschke, Mark Cook, Todd Mitchell, Larry Williams, Jake Bernstein, and other well-known Futures experts. He will illustrate a number of simple concepts that he’s distilled from his days as a “Spoos trader” that you can apply every day to determine:

- The market’s likely trading range, the trend or lack thereof.

- Whether there is a trading range and if so what are it’s highs and lows, key support and resistance levels, pivot points, etc.

He will also show us a number of patterns that you should watch for including, for example some tricks used by the so-called “locals” in the CME pit to clean out the stops, which can often fool stock traders because it looks like a market breakout or breakdown. What you need to know about index arbitrage and program selling will also be summarized.

The seminar, llike all of our regular monthly mini-seminars, is made available to Intraday member-traders after the market close. As usual, we'll have an hour of audio lecture supported by online graphics & charts, followed by a half-hour of interactive Q&A. Course notes will be emailed to attendees Tuesday morning during the doldrums.

We’ll see you in our online Training room at 4:30 PM EDT on Tuesday, July 31 2001!
