I've been posting the notion that the market has changed to favor AMD's business plan over Intel's for many months now - and I've been right. Look at the changes in earnings for each company over the past few quarters. The market for CPUs has matured since Y2K, and margins no longer support the Intel plan, while the AMD plan anticipated this change.
